Jar of Stars by Mirai-Mika Jar of Stars by Mirai-Mika
A jar of little folded paper stars I made! It was for a school project back in May but I decided to upload it here. Most of them have little things written on them (like secrets or random song lyrics). Hope you like~

I've always wanted to fill a jar with something like this but never got around to it.... Maybe I'll give it a shot this summer! How long did it take to do all of them?

it took a long time. Folding them is quick and easy, but cutting all the strips you need takes a while >>. Definitely several hours of work in that jar. And you should do it! It looks so cool in your room or whatever =]

Oh also, did you use a website tutorial or a book one to make them? If you could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful!

There were two tutorials on DA I followed, this one helped me more personally [link] you can look up more if you need to though. They also have videos on youtube on how to do them, which I used too since I kept messing up the last step (I thought you have to pinch the corners to make the stars puff out, when you're actually supposed to push in the sides) You can also find all kinds of cute star paper on deviantart to print out and use, or get some colored paper and cut strips yourself (about 1cm wide I think). Just DON'T use construction paper, it's too thick and well just didn't work at all when I tried to use it. Have fun =D! I feel like making another jar of them now XD

Awesome sauce. I just found a bunch of tutorials, here on DA and on youtube, and it seems doable. I'm excited! Did you make your own paper or buy "star paper"? I kind of just wanna buy the star paper but I have no idea where to look!

you can find packs of star paper on amazon. I was able to find thin enough multi-colored paper at a stationary store (it was expensive to get all the colors, but I have TONS of paper left). It's probably easier to just buy pre-made strips, since you don't want to kill your printer and it saves you a lot of time
